Just to avoid any confusion, the place you might know of as Majorca (especially if you are British) is the same place as Mallorca. Majorca is just the British name.

Mallorca has a typically Mediterranean climate with winters that do not get too cold and summers that that can become very hot. However, once you are out on the ocean, the temperatures remain comfortable all year round, with temperatures only dropping to 14� C in the middle of the winter.
Sailing is at its best between April and October, as this is when the island experiences its very best weather. The most popular vacation months are July and August, and you may find it a little overcrowded then. If you have the option, come just before July/August or just after and still enjoy great weather but also avoid the crowds.
Unless you have a vast amount of experience or a nautical license, then you may find it best to charter a boat with a skipper. This will be an experienced sailor with the relevant qualifications and in-depth knowledge of local waters. These guys can be worth their weight in gold and can make your vacation that much more relaxing, dealing with all the tiresome chores.
There is an excellent choice of boats to hire on the island, but obviously, at times of high demand (the peak months), prices will rise, just as off-season they will drop. If cost is a factor, choose your time to visit. W can also advise you on the optimum type of boat to charter, one that meets your needs but also where you are paying the best possible price. I hate quoting prices, but here is a simplified guide to typical rates.

Another factor is that you must book your charter well in advance to get the best deals. Mallorca is an increasingly popular destination, and you should be talking to us as early as you can. For a summer booking, you should begin planning in the previous year, perhaps as early as October.
Choosing the best type of boat to charter is a big decision. We have vast experience in planning charters and understanding which boats work best for our clients. We can work with you and advise you on the perfect boat for your needs, answering any questions you have, and ensuring that you are not paying more than is necessary. If looking for a catamaran you need to be starting your search the previous year, sailboats, late the previous year and the first month or two after Christmas, and motorboats as early as you can, but you can get away with booking a little later

We don't just operate from Palma (like some others) but have boats located in several ports on the island. Spending time at one of Mallorca's famous beaches is a must, and the best beaches you should not miss are Cala Mesquida Beach and Cala Torta.
Cala Mesquida Beach has an expanse of white sandy shoreline (stretching 300 meters) and an extended length of shallow waters that seem to stretch forever, with crystal clear waters.
Cala Torta has a wide beach, which makes it ideal for beach sports, such as beach volleyball. Just watch if you don't want to participate. It is also suitable for picnics and family activities.
Royal Charterhouse in Valldemossa
Mallorca has been a favorite of Europeans for many years, and the 14th Century Royal Charterhouse (a former royal residence, then monastery) has had many famous guests, including the famous composer, Frederic Chopin. Enjoy the panoramic view from the terraces and the stunning architecture.
Port de Sóller
One of the popular destinations for tourists is Port de Sóller, where the central plaza where there are frequent street performances and opportunities to enjoy Tapas and other local cuisines. The area features a myriad of ice cream outlets and cafes where you can relax and while away the hours. Oh yes, and do not forget to take a trip on the vintage wooden tram from the city center to the port. It lasts about 30 minutes and has an enjoyable route through the city streets that must not be missed.
The Nightlife at Magaluf
One place that comes alive every night is the Punta Ballena. It features over 50 establishments, bars, nightclubs, fast food, and tattoo parlors.
The place buzzes with excitement well into the night. It is perhaps one of the most well-regarded places in Europe for its nightlife.
